I think it's ok for you to date, just not really seriously at all. Instead you could compromise with your parents and go on a group date, or go with someone to a dance.

You are way too young to be dating. Even in your early teens, you will think you are ready, and your parents might allow it, but your won't be ready. At such a young age, you aren't mentally mature enough to recognize good or bad intentions and know when you're being fooled or misled. Boys will be boys at any age, and at your age, you probably don't have a clue what I'm talking about when I say that. It's very easy to be taken advantage of. Besides, at age 12, you would be dating boys your age correct? It isn't exactly a date if your parents have to drive you to your destination, is it?
When you're old enough to date a boy that can drive, maybe age sixteen..then it will officially be a date.
Besides, why the rush to grow up so fast? Being a kid is the best part of life. I know it's hard to see it that way, but it is. Be grateful for the advice your parents bestow upon you and treat them well. They gave you life, a roof over your head, food in your belly and clothing to wear. I know you probably roll your eyes at talk like that, because at your age, so did I, but it's true that mother is the name for God on the lips of all children. Be happy you have people looking out for you that love you so much and enjoy being young. It won't last as long as you think.

Now hold on a minute people. I'm also 12 and I date. My parents dont really mind so long as the girl I'm dating is between the ages 11+13. We mainly go to the Lowes and to Shooters.

As a fairly hip parent, and not too old to answer, no I think it is way to young to date at 12........for many reasons........I personally would wait until you are at least 15 or 16 before going out with boys.........it's fun to have all sorts of friends, but not boys at your age.........you might not understand that right now, but later on you will see why that would be a bad idea. Trust me on that one kiddo!!

i'm 15 and that i think of after intense college is a surprising age. human beings at my college are so caught up in having a boyfriend or lady pal it somewhat is ridiculous. they think of that their stay are not fullfilled until they are dating and that i come across it pathetic. i think of my technology is growing to be as much as speedy.(i.e teenager pregnacy, undering eating, ect..) I hear 10 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous conversing approximately their boyfriend or in spite of. THEY in all probability CAN"T EVEN SPELL BOYFRIEND! whilst in comparison with existence-span we are predicted to stay 13 is somewhat youthful to be dating. i don't see why we gained't all purely loiter around and be acquaintances. Yeah my dad might enable me to date a sixteen yet i don't plan on it. Why do human beings could desire to hurry in to issues so speedy. we could continuously purely savour being a toddler simply by fact it does not final lengthy in any respect. Then undertaking approximately all that different stuff as quickly as I attain person hood.

not really, dating for a 12 year old would be consisted of going to the park and playing on the slide/swings (id do that anyway, and im 16 :D) but theres no reason to date that young, your not even a teenager! you should wait untill your at LEAST 15

No, I don't think it is appropriate. My daughter is 11 and if she was trying to date someone it would be bad news for him and her. Your parents are right you should wait until you are older and more mature. Dating and relationships come with alot of feelings and emotions your are not ready to experience yet, give it some time.
