Anyone know any good protein treatments for damaged hair?

My hair is pretty damaged from coloring and general abuse.....what are some good protein or enhancement treatments that I can buy:
a) without a lisence
b) without seeing a stylist
c) under $15

cat leav-in conditioner by redkin. good stuff. it might be just about $15

Sunsilk Hydra TLC shampoo and conditioner. has an ingridient called nutri-keratin which is an esential protein for hair!!!!
