I have glasses and i hate them my mom says that i am too young to wear contacts i'm 13, am i too young?

You have to be very careful when wearing contacts. Some people just aren't.
My parents didn't let me have contacts until I was 17. I had a friend who got contacts when she was 15 and a week later she got some sort of infection in her eye.
If you are responsible then talk to your mom about it. Tell her that you know you have to be careful with contacts and that you would do anything the eye dr tells you to do.

By the way, glasses aren't that bad. You just have to find the frame you really like which suits your face.

I think that is a very good age to get contacts. Just show your mom you can handle the responsibility of cleaning them and taking care of your eyes. It's very easy to get an eye infection from not taking proper care of your eyes and what you put on them. I got contacts when I was ten (which was ten years ago) because I have terrrrrible vision and glasses were interfering with the sports I was in, so it was actually my mom's idea for the contacts since I kept breaking glasses :/ oops. Contacts can be expensive though if you need special ones, like hard contacts, but the eye doctor will tell you which ones are right for you and your moms budget :)

I am 15, I had the same problem when i wwas your age...I showed my mom how responsible i could be and she ended up buying me contacts 3 weeks l8r...Ur not 2 young mayb ur mom just isn't sure that your responsible enogh...Good Luck!!!!!!!

Just proove to your mom that you are a RESPONSABLE 13 year old & can take care of yourself & your hygene!! thats probably the reason she dosent want you getting them..for your sake =] x0o
