Friends, I am in Singapore for the past 5 months and i have tried all sorts of treatments for my chronic condition of back pain for almost 1.5 years. I tried Chiropractic, Physiotherapy, massage, Yoga, ayurveda, homeopathy, laser acupuncture, etc. But i have not even had a wee bit of relief. I am living with pain for almost 24 hours for the past 1 year. Can someone point to the right place in singapore? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Ram

I have to live with chronic back pain myself. I suffer
from two compressed discs, two herniated discs and
Degenerative Disc Disease. It took a Neurosurgeon to
diagnose me. Check and see if there is a Neurosurgeon
where you live.

Chriropractor, massage therapist and the book at the bottom ISBN1-57224-375-9

Much pain is from muscles below is an example of what may help (based on headaches).
Begin with a couple swigs of molasses or a couple of bananas (natural muscle relaxers) daily - magnesium (which regulates many things in the body) and potassium (a needed building block for muscles).
Drink at least 1/2 gallons of water per day. Running a body low on water is like running a car low on oil is the analogy the head of neurology at UCDavis told my husband about 10 years ago.

Now to the cause - muscles - your back, neck shoulders and head have tender spots. They are knots in the fibers of the muscles called trigger points. It makes the muscles tight which makes them press on nerves and other things causing the pain.

The cure - start with a professional massage, (if this does not do it you probably need a chiropractor as well) you will also want to go back over any place you can get to 6-12 times per session up to 6 times per day rubbing (or lightly scratching on your head) every where that is tender until the knots go away. The place where the skull connects to the spine press up under the edge of the skull (to get to those muscles).

For more information read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. It teaches what to do and where the pain comes from.

You need to see a specialist. Have you had an MRI to see if they can find the problem? I feel your pain, I am currently awaiting my MRI results.

Until you can get to the doctor here are a couple of things that will help easy (not relieve) the pain.

1. Sleep with a pillow between your knees while on your side.

2. Sleep with a pillow under your knees when on your back.

3. Get a cervical neck pillow.

All of the above will help keep your spine in line and relieve some of the pressure.

4. Apply heat (moist heat if possible) to the area for about 10 minutes every four hours.

Also, enquire about a Tens machine from either physio or a doctor.

Hi,

I would suggest that you do an iris scan to find out what is the cause of your backpain.

I am an iris analyst and I find that most people have problems with this probably because of their colon and sometimes it is due to some emotional accumulations.

But I would only be able to give you a better explaination if you do an iris scan.

As the saying goes, the eyes are the window to our heart. But the eyes are also the window to our HEALTH as well...

Iridology is the holistic science of looking at the condition of your health by taking a picture of your iris.

As all the nerves and veins running through our body end right at our eyes, we are able to see the condition of our health by just looking at our iris.

Each iris session is $10 (A session like this will cost you $80-$150 outside.) and will last 20 min ;)

You will be given a picture of your iris and an analysis report to keep.

From the analysis, you will find out :
- what areas of the body are not functioning at optimum level
- what may be some of the possible health issues you may face in future
- what are the solutions to overcome these issues
- what are some suggested lifestyle habits to acquire for better health
- how to take good care to ensure you have higher energy and slimmer, fitter body

And that's it.

And the rest is up to you.

So what do you think? ;)

this may sound dumb unless you have already tried it. but what about magnet therapy. my daughter lives in Singapore and is a P.T. I sent her a magnetic bracelet because she is always complaining about her hands hurting from doing treatments on other people. since she started wearing her bracelet she has no pain. she tell me she has seen over in Singapore a patch like a big bandaid with a magnet in the middle the people are using for lower back problems. it is medically proven that wearing magnets help improve blood circulation. call around and find these patches. what have you got to lose but the pain. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS YOU CAN CONTACT MY DAUGHTER AT PHYSIOFORM IN SINGAPORE. SHE IS FROM THE U.S.

Stay away from the surgeons. Get some pain meds if you have to. I have had this condition all my life. Good days, bad days. I don't want to risk all bad days, so surgery is out.
