oh lord, this question always kills me. Do you REALLY think your insurance is going to raise the equivalent of 2000 dollars if you report this claim? NO WAY!!!!
This is exactly why you pay for insurance- of course report it to them and let them take care of it!

For $2000 I'd let the insurance take care of it, that's why you pay the premiums.
If it was like $500 or so I'd say just pay it, but not much over that.
If it's your first claim, and you don't have any moving violations, your rates probably won't go up much, though can't guarantee it.

If you let insurance know about it you will only have to pay the 1st 500 dollars depends on your insurance plan.

Insurance,, Most likely your ded is less than two grand, so that right there is reason enough.. Also im sure you have to pay for the damages to the other person's car, as well as yours..

that depends on who your insurance company is and if they will raise your rates after this...... if your insurance company doesnt have accident forgiveness, you rates will go up for a couple years so it may be better to pay the 2000........

I would ask the other driver. One time some woman rear-ended my father-in-law, and he took it down, got it fixed, and she paid for it--no harm, no foul.
