(Not trying to do it here!)

I have no idea how to handle it best. I don't need a new car, it's paid off, should I sell it to the dealer from whom I bought it? I don't really want to deal with classifieds...etc...

Hey choclab, I've got a 5 year old male chocolate lab, he is the absolute love of my life.

It's a 2000 Wrangler Sahara, black. 50000 miles. Automatic. Probably not your style...

I know that you said that you didn't want to fool with classifieds, however that is how you will get the most for your TJ. There are people all over who would love to buy your jeep. Check out this site it is just for jeeps. Price it high and negotiate down to your asking price if necessary

Have you thought of trying eBay? It might be worth a shot. You can set the terms of the sale and require individuals to pick it up within a certain time and of course...pay you in a certain time.

There is also craigslist.com too. If you deal online you won't have to deal with phone calls. All communications is by email.

Another good way is word of mouth and a sign in the window. I have bought 2 cherokees in the past by just approaching a seller about it. One of them had a sign in the window for 2 hours when I made an offer.

First, find out how much it's actually worth. You can check Kelly Blue Book and get a good idea of it's value. You'd make the most money on it if you'd sell it outright to an individual. A dealer will never give you as much as it's actually worth, they want to profit on it. Just keep it clean and put a for sale sign in it as you drive it.
Include you contact info and selling price on the sign and make it look professional.

Jeep Wranglers have about the highest resale of any vehicles. Look on the car lots and, and price your a little under what they have for the same thing. I'm thinking that your Jeep, with that mileage, will sell for about $10K or more...Maybe as much as $12,500, depending on it's condition.

eBay definently. My dad sold a old Jeep 1996 Wrangler YJ that had a 4inch lift, 5,000 pound winch i think, and KC flood lights w/ new rims. And that thing was sold for way more than what it was worth.
