Does anyone know the exact number of death sentenced people in Canada. Also the exact number of them being wrongfully convicted? Please help me.

I'll take information-police's word about the death sentence being abolished in Canada. Even if Canada had the death sentence, do you actually believe it would be possible to answer your question? If the evidence were clear enough to know for certain someone was 'wrongfully convicted', most of them would never have been convicted.

Trick Question, there is no death sentence in Canada so the number of wrongfully convicted person on death row would be zero. Canada has not had the death penalty since 1976. Even as such the death penalty was used very scarcely. The last execution took place on December 10, 1962. So in well over 40 years not a single execution has taken place in Canada.

The death penalty has only been used 710 times in Canada from the formation of the nation in 1867 to the abolition of the Capital punishment in Canada.

The death sentence was abolished in Canada in 1976, except for treason or mutiny. The last execution in Canada was in 1962.
