how do i find out what year a dirt bike is?

the bike is a yellow yamaha 125

this is Cycling (as in Bicycling), not Motorcycles

Should be a plate either under the seat at the back of the bike, or on one of the tubes going to the back tire. Should show manufacture date, weight limit, etc.

Try, cars and transportation / motorcycles...BTW, the DOM will be on the headtube right below the handlebars...
