They are all about the same as far as energy, but they are all high energy dogs and don't do well in an apartment. They need lots of exercise in order to keep them calm while you are at work or they can be destructive and bark a lot. if your willing to exercise them a couple of hours a day go for it. if not look at a lower energy dog. A whippet is a nice small dog that is a couch potato at home, and energetic out doors in spurts.

None of them. They're all super-high energy, and despite what you see on Frasier, they're not particularly good for apartments.

Get something more sedate, something that needs a lot less exercise. Haven't you seen those Jack Russell terrier races on Animal Planet? Those things are CRAZY active! And I know somebody with a rat terrier and that dog is just nuts, barkety-bark-bark, freaking out, running around, almost too much to handle.

They're all bad choices. Find a nice shelter or rescue dog and leave terriers to the experts!

their really high energy i personally like the jack russell terrier because they are the cutest and when i went to the pound the fox terriers where like bearing their teeth with me ( i did nothing to them..just held out my hand to let them sniff) so ya just have had bad experiences with fox terriers ( not that all of them are this way their probably mostly not) so ya i'd get a smooth coated long leg jack russell terrier they are really hyper and require lots of exercise so make sure to play with them constantly ( laser pointers and ropes are the best toys) they also have an attitude though (at least mine does) ya you must train them they'll get to beawesome dogs me s only 7 monthes and she already knows sit down stay , sorta lay ( looks like play dead) come touch ( touch the clicker), come, and then go get it and we're are working on many more...... she still needs to work on heal though jrts are great dogs and you wont be sorry go to the jrtca website...i think it's www.terrier.com for more infromation about their breeds i also reccommend taking your dog if you get a jrt to trials they are a really fun experience for both you and your dog you can chat with other jrt owners and just look at the many different dogs ( they all look different...not one alike)...o the dog on frasier i thnk its name is eddie is a jack russell terrier .. if you've seen the trials on animal planet their not like the real thing trust me i saw them this summer and was like o cool i want to do that but their are many different events and it's more of a low key thing where jrt lovers can get together and hang and buy merchandise .. they have awesome collars there i got a bright pink one for my dog...hope this helps

I think they are all high energy dogs. They might need more time on walks and attention than a working person in an apartment can give.
