Wash and condition your hair.

Squeeze the excess water out. To scrunch it, you want it damp but not soaking wet or dripping.

Wrap your hair in a small towel. Do not rub your hair at all with the towel. What you can do is wring it within the towel if the ends are still dripping.

Comb your fingers or a wide-tooth comb through your hair and make a part as best as you can. Don't worry if it's not perfect.

Spray hairspray in your hair. Put it near the middle and bottom of your hair. Putting it too close to your roots will cause it to look greasy and weighed down.

Turn your head upside down so that your hair is hanging down.

Put gel in your hands and rub them together to spread the gel.
Grab a small handful of hair by the ends and push it up toward the head.

Hold it in place for a few moments while aiming the hair dryer at it to 'set' the gel/mousse/hair spray.
Repeat this all over your head, reapplying the gel every time.

Keep in mind that small handfuls yield tighter waves and large handfuls create full, loose waves.

Tips
Fine/thin, naturally straight, or chemically-straightened hair may be resistant to scrunching. If this is the case, apply curl-defining mousse or gel to the hair and curl it using a barrel iron.

For best results, use herbal essances scrunching gel!!!

Warnings
Don't put too much gel in your hair in one spot because once it dries, it will turn white and flaky.
Don't even think about brushing your hair after you've scrunched it. You will look like you got electrocuted.

its called natural scrunching mousse

kay.
so.
braid your hair TIGHTLY into three different sections at night.

in the morinin, undo the braids, and just rub in lots of mousse.

basically thats it, but ill have to add that you shouldnt comb it through when the mousse is in it. just use your fingers to take out the biggest tangles

avoid using gel&hairspray b/c they'll kill your hair in the long run. its happened to me& it just makes your hair wayy worse!
