If man is guilty before the Lord, and deserving of Hell, then I think that's enough knowledge for anyone to know that we can have all the free will we want, we ain't earning Heaven with it!
Meaning, God doesn't need to know or care about anybody, and he would be fully justified in "smiting the earth with a curse" as written in Malachi.
So do we surprise Him? You're right, we do not. Since we are guilty, He must seek us out, and He has done so already, and now we have some logic to the Predestination and foreknowledge verses. He enters into a relationship with us out of His grace and mercy, not our decision, "lest any man should boast", Eph. 2:9, KJV.
Kindly grandpa? Jesus called Him "Father", and referred to children as "such is the Kingdom of Heaven". However, these verses were not meant for the unbeliever.
Hope that helps.

Have you noticed that nearly every Christian answer so far is either an unhelpful one-liner or is totally out of topic?
I sense a pattern here, Sherlock :)
And I agree. An omniscient god would have no surprise right? And yet there are traces of surprise in certain Biblical stories...

God knows each little thing from front to lower back. God can provide tests so as which you will get excitement from existence and be thankful for what you have and don't have. a lot of people are ravenous, residing with maximum cancers, or have been raised in an orphanage, yet they're grateful for the tiniest issues. God took my brother away whilst i replaced into 4 years previous, i'm no longer able to think of how painful that replaced into for my mom. I now be attentive to it replaced right into a try of religion. She had no decision yet to be sturdy and proceed to strengthen us. i don't be attentive to why god took him. I in simple terms be attentive to it replaced into his time to pass. while you're nonetheless right here it particularly is because of the fact God nonetheless desires you in this Earth. do no longer complication approximately those questions now, they're going to be quite some time to ask God those questions as quickly as we die.

Because, we dont know what our future holds, and the purpose of a Christians life, if they truly are a Christian should be the desire to know God, and love Him with all our hearts, mind, and strength. A perfect God WOULD have emotions. He feels Love, anger hate, all of it. You can connect to Him, more than anyother thing or person out there.
God Bless
ps: Hes my Savior and my father, not my grandpa

I agree, there is no reason to test us if he already knows how we will fare.
But, perhaps using this logic: if he doesn't test us, then he won't know, but if he plans to test us he will know.... so if he doesn't plan to test us he won't know the outcome because he never tested us...
It's a complicated piece of trickery. Many people don't understand it and therefore assume it's because God is so smart that we can't understand him or his ways.
But really it's just a trick concocted by man...

to see if you can remain faithful, while being tempted to do what is right in His sight. And if you were God and had created a living creation what would you want it to do. Be a puppet>
.What joy could come from that having forced love.

He just tests you because he really isn't sure of the answer.
Why test things you already know?
