Honey? What guarantee is he giving you at the end of a time frame of 2 1/2 years? He doesn't know just as you do not know what will happen in 2 1/2 years. It sounds like when my ex was sentenced to a 5 year prison sentence. Basically. That is what it is. My husband told me that if I needed some male companionship, he couldn't blame me and he wouldn't be upset and asked would I wait for him to come home. I did just that. When he came home, we had changed. It just wasn't the same anymore. We are all human. Do not sit there and wait for this person to come back to you because as an adult woman, I guarantee he is not waiting on a block of ice to come back to you. If you think he is being a good boy, that is just not realistic. Let him go and you have fun while he is not there, and hopefully, for your heart to stay in one piece, if he happens to come back and you two meet again and make beautiful music, having learned from the experiences you shared with others while apart, that you still belong together, well then how beautiful can that be? Don't sit on a block of ice waiting. Learn from your time apart if he really is worth waiting for. He may not be your prince charming. You may find the real one while he is gone. When one door shuts, another one opens. Good luck honey. :)

Say goodbye. Long distance relationships where no one sees each other for 2 1/2 years just don't usually work. Only way it'll likely work is moving to where he is.

you both should just break up cause he's going to be away for a long time and along the way there might be temptations on both side so its best just to break up and when he returns see what happens.. if the love is still there. than you and him can start where you and him left off.

i think it should be OK.u just need lots of patience to go thru those 2 1/2 yrs. make a list for yourself of all positive and negative things that will come out of waiting for him. think of different possibilities, dont avoid the negative ones, be prepared and think of how u gonna deal with different problems that will occur.

I would honetly let him know how u feel if havnt already. let know how you feel deeply, how he makes u feel and how you feel without him. see what is the reaction you get. I can see that there is some deep feelings there for this gentleman, tell him things like what he means and what you feel when ur with out him and i appolize for the repeat good luck.

Talk to him about it. Let him know how you feel. Then see if you can go and visit him and if he can come visit you as much as possible. There is not much you can do, besides try to stay in touch as much as possible.

If you love him as much as you say you do, you will learn to accept that moving is what he wants to do.
