What is the best way to bring my hair texture with my diffuser. I tried using mousse, gel but my hair looks?

dry. I am trying to make the curls look shiny and great. Please help. Thank you in advance.
I currently use Suave holding gel, frizz gel and Silk Elements Mousse.
