i think "fun sizes" is a nice way of sugar-coating "small"- a nice way of saying small, it's appealing to kids, b/c its "fun" and not "small" so kids will buy it more.

at school, ppl say their "fun sized" in lieu of saying their short/small. it's a nicer and more optimistic way of perceiving things
