He filed his own taxes, but I am counting part of his untaxed income on my return. It was a military bonus.

If this bonus was listed under his social security number, the IRS will try and match it up on his tax return. If it is not there, he will undoubtedly get a nasty gram. The income is taxable to him, even if he gave some of it to you.

Not sure just what you're asking. If the military bonus was his, you can't claim it on your return.

You can't put his income on your tax return.
