Yes, "mehr" means more.

There is no word "gehr", or "ger"... there's "gären", which means "to ferment", and there's also "gern", meaning "gladly, dear". Could either of those be what you're looking for?

Gehr doesn't exist in the German language.

You may have heard "gern or gerne." Both of which mean "gladly" in English.
