I wonder why people would buy a Toyota when you can keep your money in US.And don't tell me Toyota's are more US than GM,Ford or Chrysler.Almost half of Toyota's are imported and because the Jap goverment and Toyota work together to keep the Yen undervalued they make a $4500avg gain on each vehicle imported.Compared to US car companies they employee only a fraction of US workers(about 350000 to 40000).Their quality has been declining with transmission and engine problems,so why do you buy them?

you're authentic! people do could do their analyze! As in once you're saying individuals do no longer earnings from the revenues of Toyota, whilst Toyota has flora interior the U. S. which employs hundreds of folk. Or the certainty that the Prius gets 40 5 mpg, extra effective than 10 mpg extra perfect than the closest American motor vehicle, subsequently helping us get far off from intense gas expenses and foreign places oil. Or the certainty the Toyota, in assessment to GM, isn't attempting to benefit $10k-$15k on their automobiles such because of the fact the huge Chevy SUVs and such. Toyota has been regular to be stable, whilst American automobiles are not. And the certainty the resale is intense on Toyota automobiles. the final income for Toyota do pass to a jap agency (Toyota), yet maximum individuals are happy to furnish their money to a agency who's dedicated to take a place that money into extra gas-effectual, stable, greater high quality automobiles. in assessment to maximum American businesses in simple terms finding to make as plenty earnings as they are able to without thinking of the patron.

What a ridiculous question. Despite the author's obvious lack of understanding of economics, I will try to answer this.
Yes, Toyota does make money on their cars. American companies don't. This is because American companies have insane pension plans, and their CEOs are overpaid. Japanese CEO roughly gets about 10-15 times the salary of an average worker. American? Try 400-500 times. Toyota processes are also much better. Kaizen comes to mind... As a result, Toyota is able to make better profits, which they reinvest (something that Japanse big business does exceptionally well) to make better products and better values for their customers.
I live in Toyota, Japan and work with people who work for Toyota. I have also seen many of their plants. I used to live in Detroit, Michigan. In other words, I have a bit of info to base my opinions on. Then again, by living in Japan I am a bit biased. I will say though, that even Japanese people prefer Toyota to other cars. It isn't that America is the only country that "has a problem" with buying Toyotas.

Because I owe a lot of money to Uncle Sam in the form of student loan repayment and I can afford a Toyota. It is reliable, and has been for many others. I power drive for work and a good 1/4 of us there drive Toyotas cause we want a car that will last. Another 1/4 buys Hondas. I have never had anything major go wrong with my 03 Corolla and it has 102,000 miles. I get it serviced every 30,000, oil changed every 5,000, and had brakes replaced once. Other than that, no troubles. Folks with American cars I know forever have them in the shop. So as much as I really do want to shop American, I need to be safe, pay my bills, and go to a job where every day I serve American's kids.

Despite your racism and incorrect facts, Toyota has FAR higher customer satisfaction than any US car maker. I have bought both Toyotas and US cars. The US cars were very bad quality. A new Ford pickup, in particular, was a total lemon. I've had nothing but good results with Toyota, and the same is true for their millions of other satisfied customers. Yes, many of the Toytoas are made in the US (and would probably be even higher quality if they were not), but the facts speak for themselves. Your information is wrong.

I have never had ANY problems with Toyota, I wish I could say that about any N.American brands I used to own. The engine problems you talk about were caused by neglect, if you sell as many vehicles as Toyota does you are bound to run across some boneheads who figure that just because its a Toyota it does not need its oil changed.
By the way Toyota makes most of their vehicles right here in N. America. Lots of your so called N. American brands are made in Mexico or Canada or are rebadged Korean imports. Ford Crown Victoria for example is made in Mexico.

Toyota makes great quality cars that last forever. The Prius, for example is cutting edge technology. My family has owned about a dozen Toyota's and most of them lasted at least 250,000 miles. I haven't been able to say that about an American made car in a couple decades.
Toyota surveys all their customer after they buy to make sure they are happy. Unfortunately, the result is that salesman refuse to sell car to people who they upset. answer #8

American car companies waste waste waste. I bought my Toyota to make a statement. It's time for America to catch up to the fuel economy that foreign cars have.

Why do auto people have a sense of entitlement about their jobs? What about the software, electronics, service, textile, appliance workers that have lost their job? And with those industries there are no foreign companies bringing the jobs back to the US. Welcome to the real world UAW.
Having had many problems with American made cars I'll stay with foreign brands a little longer. If the foreign brands slips I'll switch.

Toyota has a good image in the media.
The majority of consumers buy a car because it fits their needs not because it's made in a particular state or in America, Japan, Mexico, or Brazil.
