The acne peel really is designed to get rid of acne scars, not actual acne. It works, but I prefer light therapy if you want to go the professional route to get rid of acne, or the at home stuff if you don't have severe acne. I really like the stuff from L'oreal, called Advanced Solutions Acne Peel. If you are broken out when you do the professional strength peel, your skin will be really puffy and red for like 10 days.
You also can't tan for like 6 months after you get it, you will just get burnt. If you are looking to get rid of acne, I highly recommend the L'oreal stuff, because it also has a special mushroom protein that is unique to that product. Most acne products have the same active ingredients. It's worth a try first, before you go for something drastic, like a peel.
