Will you be accepting the National State ID coming your way in 2008? Without it you won't be able to:

- Drive a car
- Board a plane, bus, or train
- Enter a federal building
- Hold a job

The card holds basically all of your personal information that can be at the hands of anyone oh and get this: the best part is that when that plan screws up they're going to "come up with the plan" to implant a little microchip under your skin. Isn't that lovely? Now doesn't that sound like American freedom to you?

Just for you Gothic Angel, as it seems you don't watch news because it has appeared on major news stations (well at least the microchips):

I would sooner go to jail then ever carry a national ID card but I agree with the Gothic kid where are your links proving that this is coming. So far all I have ever heard is rumors of this and no debate in congress. Any proof?

You hit the nail on the head. Too many people in America have this false sense of freedom. And all these supposed 'security measures' that our wonderful president instills on us is nothing more than excuse to keep track of what information gets out, what comes in, where we are, who we are, & what we do. The powers that be are power hungry and will do anything to control the masses. They do not like losing control and would not let anything get in the way of their power including the truth. Gotta love it.

I don't like it. But based on what I've heard, it will not be ready to be implemented in 2008 (and it might not be implemented at all). It is still being debated.

Here's a short article on it: http://news.com.com/National+ID+cards+on+the+way/2100-1028_3-5573414.html

I hope and pray that doesn't happen. If this happens, then we are not Free anymore. This is one reason, America is trying to protect the homeland. But it is also taking away our personal Freedom. Then another way to look at it, is that our homeland is protected from terrorist. Only in America??
