I don't want to hurt his feelings but I deal with him every day at work and he is the type that's an "up close" talker. And it's actually gagging, I find myself wondering if he notices the fact that I'm yucked out and backing away? Thanks.

Kindly offer him a mint every chance you get, or let them know that you dont want them so close to you when hey speak with you. That or PRIVATELY speak to them about their breath.

Annonymously leave mints, gum, mouthwash etc on his desk. He'll get the hint. Or politelt pull him aside and say "hey, Bob. This is a little awkward to tell you but a few people around the office were commenting that you have a bit of a breath situation going on. I though you'd prefer to hear about it than have peopletalking behind your back about it. " It'll be awkward, but no more so for you than him. If he's a hjalfways normal person he'll appreciate the heads up and then can address it.

Hate to say it, but there isn't going to be any nice way to tell him his breath reeks. Then again, it could depend on his sense of humor. If he's a joke~ster you could be kidding around and say, "Gee, did you eat hot garbage for lunch?" And on the other hand if he's not on the witty side then maybe you could put a small dish of mints at your desk, so that when he comes to speak with you just offer him one, while putting one in your mouth as well. If he doesn't take one then maybe just concentrate on your minty breath at that moment. Hope that helps!?

I think you can offer him a mint or just buy him a pack of gum and/or mints and just say its just a gift for being a good worker.Besides people chew gum all the time he won't notice that your giving it to him because of his breath stinks. And you can tell him if he can back up a little because your not comfortable.

Take out a breath mint and put it in your mouth, then offer him one. If he doesn't want to take it tell him that their really good and he should try one. If he still doesn't take one then tell him you're trying to be nice, but, his breath stinks.

Put a jar of mints or something like that on your desk. Take one while he's around and offer one to him.

My admired procedures are: a million) faux a seizure whilst they arrive close to you. 2) Ask them if that they had each and all the fixings on their kaka taco. 3) Ask them in the event that they are doing a handstand and are respiratory out of their butt. or you would be able to desire to furnish them a mint...

Leave a pack of gum or tictaks on his desk with a little post-it on it saying "just a reminder", you don't even have to use your name. That will probably get your point across.

There is no nice way to do this. Just offer gum or mints or just avoid him.
