Bring your title to sign over to him and make out bill of sale for each of you, make sure you state it is "as is", and have both copies signed both by you and the buyer.

If the buyers from another state then you probably just need to sign and date the title over to the buyer and they take it to their local notary. Same state you should have the title in your name, and also have your drivers license or similar id ready when you go to the notary with the buyer.

A bill of sale and the title....make sure you date them both as to show as of that date you are no longer responsible for that car!
