Usually any cardio before a set of lifting is good for you. My guess is your not eating right before your workout, remember to eat after your workout is done too. I usually snack on some almonds before and after my workout. Theyre a great source of antioxidants and a lot of protein too. They also pack some fat with them which is good because if your body takes in fat while it is trying to lose fat it will lose more fat than it would if you had no fat intake. God I feel like that last sentence should be in a Dr. Suess book.

I don't see why it would be bad for you. If you want maximum affect from working out, run one day and then weightlift the next and have an every-other day cycle because your body actually builds muscle while it is resting the day after your workout.

working hills is the equivalent of weight education on your legs, considering the fact which you're literally pulling your bodyweight against gravity. in case you're engaged on a treadmill (and that i'm guessing you're) and are using incline to reproduction the wind resistance you may come across on the line, you in user-friendly terms might desire to us 2-3 ranges of incline to end this. ultimately, i think of your shin splints have extra to do with being new to working and not stretching, relatively than the incline (disclaimer: this analysis comes from a individual sitting hundreds of miles away, who isn't a scientific professional). start up with low miles or finished time, at a cushty %. the place you're actually not overstriding, and take relax days in between. Stretch your calves thoroughly formerly working, and as quickly as back over back in the day.

I lift weights and run too, but i usually jog a slow lap then i stretch then i lift the weights then i run my miles because i dont like benching or squatting or anything like that after i run because my muscles feel weaker.

It depends how long you've been running (a week? 6 months?) You might just be out of shape! Running could never affect you negatively- it builds your endurance, burns calories, builds muscle- all positive things. Keep running- it should get easier.

I run 3 miles before lifting weights..

Sounds like your not getting a pre-workout carb load.

pasta, oj, bananas are good sources

Im sure it is fine! Im sure that it is just a more intense workout than your body is used to! When your body gets used to the more intense workout that will change and you will not feel as tired...

To much of anything is no good for you. I hate jogging. Try walking. Do not hurt yourself. Know yourself and your own body will tell you. You should feel good about what you are doing.

i wouldn't do it like that

alternate the days between just the runs and the workouts

maximize your effort for that day's target and don't try to do both on the same day (u need recovery time over the night at least)
