I feel that I can not get through the day without drinking coffee, If I don't have at least two cups I find myself draging, slaking and not as upbeat If I miss my caffeine fix. However by the end of the day I'm jittery and many nights I can't fall asleep until at least one am. Any other suggestions or alternatives?

if you drink it in the morning you should be able to sleep at night
if this doesnt work then you should take yourself off it altogether

Slowly wean yourself off caffeine-from 2 cups to 1 cup to 1/2 cup to 0 cups, do this slowly. Caffeine is a powerful addiction, plus theres all those coffee stands everywhere you look. If you wean yourself off coffee to quickly, either have a cup of coffee or some Excedrin (which has caffeine in it.) You won't be jittery and unable to sleep.Instead of drinking caffeine coffee or coffee at all, I would try one of those decaffinated teas. They are good and they perk you up without the caffeine.

The way to get off the caffeine is to start mixing half decaffeinated coffee with caffeinated and gradually cut down on the caffeinated until you are drinking all decaf. Herbal tea is a good substitute for coffee after you kick the caffeine addiction or you could still just drink decaf coffee.
