I just saw a video on Martin Luther King jr. and Malcom X.

Now, we all know that MLK jr was a Baptist Christian
We all also know that Malcom X was Muslim.

Now, what I have learned is that Muslims justify killing people that deny Allah. Also that they are violent.

In Christianity you are taught to spread love and such. Also to follow the ten commandments. Which include not stealing and not committing murder and adultry and such.

Now, consider this:

Martin Luther King jr believed in peaceful resistece. Non violent resistance.

Malcom X viewed the whites as the enemy and believed in violence against them and such.

Now, based on what i know about christians and muslims. Do you think there is a connection to the way they handled their civil rights campaigns?

I'm an Atheist but this muslim bashing is getting boring. Muslims don't have a monopoly on violence any more than christians have a monopoly on pedophilia.

Both Martin Luther King and Malcolm X were reacting to white christian campaigns of violence led by, among others, the KKK, a christian group whose symbol was the flaming cross. The took different paths but I don't feel it was due so much to their religions as to their backgrounds (both of them were raised christian but in different settings). Furthermore, I would say that MLK owed more to Gandhi than to any christian movement.
