I asked my best friend out the other day but he still hasnt answered yet. It's probably his way of saying no or whatever, but what is the best way to ask him to answer my question directly and not his stupid strategy? Even if it is a No, what's the best way to tell him that its okay if he is not intrested and hope that nothing will change without making the situation more awkward?

Btw, he lives kinda far away and we only see each other once a week or twice a week. We always talk on aim though, or on the phone but he I tried to avoid him yesterday and the other day. Now, he's not online on AIM but he's on Myspace. Im pretty sure were both trying to avoid the awkward situation but what should I say to stop the awkwardness the next time I see him?

Tell him exactly that. Just say that you really like his personality, and you would like to get to no him better. Also tell him that if he is not up to it right now, no problem. Just say, that whatever he wants is fine by you.

Just make light of it..Like say I asked u out.I didn't ask u to get married.Lighten up...Yes or no...It's not going to devastate me if u say no...We'll still be friends. By doing this u keep control of everything. Plus he can answer u knowing he still has a friend. Humor is always the best way to handle things with friends.Good luck

Have one of your friends (or his friends) ask him if he likes you back. Maybe he just feels awkward about it. Maybe he's too shy to tell the truth. Maybe he's too nice to break it to you that he doesn't like you. Have a friend ask, otherwise I'd confront him. Try not to make him feel uncomfortable. Good luck! I hope this helps.

Silence is usually no. But do not be discouraged. It takes some chance taking to find someone. If you do not try then you will never succeed. Just dust yourself off and go some other way. Rejection is not easy , young or old. Good Luck

Have a friend that's also one of his friends talk privately with him, and ask him if there's anything going on in his life that has to do with girls. He'll probably mention you, and just have them ask him if he's interested in you or not. That way you should get a straight forward answer! :)

Forget about it!!!! And don't call or invite him anymore. Sometimes people avoid situations and figure by being silent the problem or person will get the hint and go away......So you figure it out. Its hard to accept but if its one sided only. then forget about it.

I would just call him up and talk to him like you normally would and see if he brings it up. If he doesn't then you bring it up and tell him you'd just like to know and that you hope either way it doesn't have a negative effect on your friendship. Go for it.
