Ever wonder why every single human being in this planet doe's speak just on single language langue idioma ....???
Why and how did we started to speak a different language in the first place ? even when I can clearly see some similarity between french english spanish italian or portugeese how did it all started to become so distinct and unique from different country???

if you mean accents, its because groups were separated and accents developed differently than in other areas.

as for language itself, i guess it could be the same thing.
but the french/spanish/english/italian thing comes from the roman empire conquering those lands, speaking latin. the native people blended latin with thier own language, but since latin was a large part, they are all similar.

People were separated, and so language evolved differently in different places.
