That your suffering is brought on by yourself? God is not "punishing you." When you leave your homework at home, that is the consequence of your OWN actions, not God's punishment of you.
And if you were not of moral character but brought along your homework, then it will still be there.
That's just an example. During life, if you are intelligent, my theory is that you will NOT have any bumps in life.
I think atheists take the initiative more often. Theists just pray, hoping God will help them because they are morale. Atheists will actually do something instead of expecting it to fall right into their hands just because they are "good."

Gods Girl: Did you even read? Why don't you try to answer some of my points? Look over it.
gnostic: I know a lot about theists, thank you very much. I used to be Christian.

timjim: How is that an answer? You didn't even support yourself. Way to debate. You did not reply to any of the points I made. And don't be an ageist, age does not define experience, maturity, or intelligence.

It's largely psychological. People hate to be accountable for their own actions and to admit their own mistakes. It's easier to dismiss life's speedbumps as being fate or the will of a higher power than it is to accept their involvement with the consequences.
There is a natural and instinctive predisposition towards blaming outside factors for our errors. Hell, it's even common to become angry at inanimate objects like computers when we accidentally, say, delete a file.
While I disagree that intelligent people won't experience bumps, they will certainly be more balanced in dealing with such bumps - accepting their responsibility, learning from it, and moving on.

Hey "Me", He was not saying that nothing happens to intelligent people. Everybody has bad moment, as well as good moments no matter how intelligent they are. You can't blame these bad moments on God. Sometimes, good moments is a blessing from God. Sometimes He allows bad things to happen, I said allowed, not cause, for a reason, maybe a test, like "Job", and maybe to make us stronger. I've had some bad circumstances that made stronger in the Lord.

Do you think that is what God wants, for His child to ignore Him because they feel that they are so self sufficient? Christians do all the same things you do, work, school, raise families. We have all the same trials as the next guy, so God doesn't give us an easier life than another. God wants to be a part of His children's lives. Just like a parent. So don't pat yourself so hard on the back unless you are so sure that your life is pleasing to God.

Has it ever occured to you that atheists are all not good. It was atheists that established communism. It is atheists that support abortion. It is atheists that that believe that they are mere products of evolution and have no incentive to do the right thing. So, do not judge Christians when you know nothing of Christianity. We do not always believe it is God's punishment. Some of the problems are caused by Our stupidity and ignorance. Sometimes it is a temptation of Satan. DO NOT JUDGE US!

If you are intelligent you will not have any bumps in life?.
You are obviously very young. Life happens and sometimes it just gets down right ugly doesn't matter if you have an education or not or if you are a Christian or not.
The Bible says the rain will fall on the just and the wicked.

Christians think when they make a mistake in life, such as leaving your homework at home, that God is trying to send them a message. If that makes any since. I mean, he's really not punishing you, just trying to send you a message. I dont know, that's my opinion. If you make a mistake in life, he can help you make you're life better and make it so you wont make that same mistake again.

Christianity is all about responsibility. Personal responsibility. Only those who do not know, think that God does things for them if they pray enough. God gives us the strength and the wisdom to do things. Not only do them, BUT TO DO THE RIGHT THINGS!!!
