I have to explain a quote in the short story called "Ethan Frome". Can anybody help me? I have to support my statements with details from the story. She said I have to do like 2 paragraphs, I only see one sentence for this quote. Please reply if you can help me.

The quote is "I guess you're always late, now you shave every morning".

Zeena, apparently accepting this as final, lay watching him in silence while he pulled his suspenders over his shoulders and jerked his arms into his coat; but as he went toward the door she said, suddenly and incisively: "I guess you're always late, now you shave every morning."
