This could be two problems.

1. normal moulting and nothing to worry about.

2. french moult, and needs to go to an avian vet.

Wait a few days. if new feathers come in and are shaped normally; he is probably fine. if the feathers are mishappen, or the short downy feathers do not come in; take him to the vet.

Your local pet store has products which will help your bird during the molting process. It is harmless and natural for this to happen. If by chance your bird is plucking excessively or becomes "bald" without regrowing feathers, it could be the sign of an illness which requires medical assistance from a qualified avian vet.

Well I am assuming some feathers lose is normal but that sounds like a lot of feathers at one time. Make sure it's diet has enough vitamins and nutrients that your little bird needs. If it keeps losing feathers or showing bald spots, I would sure call the Vet and ask some questions.

It's a natural process. Birds molt, causing them to lose almost every feather. They will grow them back thoug, I know this as of having at least 8 birds at once.. Trust me, feathers were everywhere! :) If you dont see the feathers growing back though, You might want to take it to the vet, something could be wrong, maybe mites.. I dont know. Just keep a close eye on it, and see what happens! :) Glad I could help

Not sure but my guess is it's molting (not exactly sure how it's spelled.) Go to the pet store and get something for this and if it doesn't work then I suggest taking it to your vet. Good Luck!
