If you live in an area that is prone to a particular type of natural disaster, such as an area with frequent hurricanes or earthquakes of tornados, there are many things that churches can do to help.
Help educate the parishioners and the community about natural disasters, and make sure that anyone with special needs is signed up for help getting to the appropriate shelter.
Form teams to train to help in cleanup.
In areas prone to hurricanes, an enormous help would be to form teams to assist the elderly and disabled in preparing their property before storms strike. Things such as removing dangerous limbs and trees and helping with home repairs.
One reason than many people don’t evacuate for hurricanes is that they refuse to leave their pets behind. If a church really wants to help they could try to pair people who live in mobile homes with those who may be able to shelter a family with pets.
Money is always needed, but there is also a great deal than can be done by helping to educate the community, assisting those who are unable to prepare and by being good neighbors and checking on each other to find out what is needed.

Food, water, clothing, shelter. To heck with the prayers, they need the neccesities of life. If you're not going to actually help them with those, keep your prayers to yourself.
Why do I say that? Because I know what happened during Hurricane Katrina.

Depends what kind of natural disaster it is!! You could help clean up or donate stuff to familys who have lost stuff.

Help them. Send aid, get down on your knees and pull people from rubble, comfort the injured and bereaved, provide shelter.
Just don't waste any valuable time praying. It does nothing.

tell them good luck and kick them in the *** now if they live in the us we can help and we must help but as far as outside of the us forget it ....
