the trick that i use is the same that we used to use back in the day for the french rolls. taking a black sock (or sock close to your hair color) and place it around the base of your pony holder, then pull your hair down over the sock and pin it down. this will give your hair the look of being fuller in the bun.

if you are worried about your hair drying out, try wrapping the sock or the pantyhose in a satin or satin like scarf (close to your hair color) to prevent breakage and drying out

good luck!

This is kinda a add on to the question above. I use a pair of stockings to make my bun. My hair is about one and a half inch below my sholder line, but it doesn't have alot of fullness, so this is what i do: Take both legs of the pantyhose and cut them loose. Cut the feet out of both of them too. Now line them up together and roll them up like you would roll up a pair of socks. keeps rolling them together until you have a nice little doughnut. If you need it to be thicker, keep rolling on more pantyhose legs. Crazy huh? I know but it's the only way u i can wear a bun. I like your hair in your pic. I wish i could get mine to look like that but my hair is so limp. It just sorda hang. Anyways, goodluck!
