Whats the easiest nordic language to learn?

Im interested in learning one of the Nordic languages. Which would be best for an english speaker to learn?

Since all of these languages belong to Nordic group there are lot of similarities among them. It's very hard to tell which one of them is harder or easier to learn. You would probably have to do some comparison yourself and take into consideration also other factors that might influence your choice, like what would be practical use of the language, would you be able to travel to the country or live there for a while etc.

For me personally it was easiest to study Swedish. After spending a year in Sweden I was able to speak it, read and write. And it helped me to understand Norwegian and Danish. Since I was speaking English I found Swedish pronunciation easier to get than Norwegian or Danish. But it's very personal. Probably depends on a lot of other factors as well.

For an English speaker, it would be Danish.
Danish is not similar to Swedish. It is like a cross between German and English in some ways!

They are all almost the same (especially neighboring examples like Swedish and Norwegian, which are mutually understandable).

In fact, while you can learn Swedish and Norwegian for instance, depending upon the region of the countries, they could be either very different from each other or very similar. Some linguists don't even classify Swedish and Norwegian as different languages, but rather different dialects of the same language.

English translation
In 1877 Brandes left Copenhagen and took up residence in Berlin. However, his political views made Prussia an uncomfortable place to live in, and in 1883 he returned to Copenhagen, where he was met by a completely new group of writers and thinkers, who were eager to accept him as their leader.
