i like this guy in school, he's 2 years younger cuz i am a senior and he's a sophomore..

anyway, i believe he likes me too (not being conceited or anything)...since we both could not stop looking at each other and everything...besides, he's very cute and EXTREMELY smart.....

that's not the problem though...

the PROBLEM is that i'm am going to be leaving in august about 400 miles away because i'm going to be off to college...

also, what if we end up together, what's the point???....i'm not sure if i could handle a long-distance relationship.....i'm not saying i'm totally crazy about him but i do have some feelings.....

if he really does like me, and i like him back (my friends' are trying soo hard to hook us up BTW).....will it work?....i'm graduating in June,..do u think a thing called 'break up' is the only way...

help!

The most important question is - what do YOU think you should do? - all the answers won't help you here. What ever you choose is the right thing. You can't go wrong. Whatever you do is part of your life's experience and the ones you have now are no less important than the ones you'll have in college. There is nothing wrong with a long distance relationship and there is nothing wrong with not wanting a long distance relationship. If I was still in high school I might go for it. On the other hand if you were my daughter I wouldn't want you to talk to this boy at all........... GO TO YOUR ROOM!!!

Ooh that's a toughie! If it were me I'd probably just go for it. Enjoy the time you do have together, but NO sex because you're going to leave and sex complicates feelings badly. What if you give yourself, mind, body and soul and it doesn't work out? That would be crappy.

Plus, if you hold out, chances are he might want you even more and he may wait for you, giving you the chance to have a long distance relationship! But you don't like long distance relationships, so I dunno about this plan...

It's up to you, if you want to see it as "a fling with no strings" you could go all the way while realizing it will be over soon or just not hook up at all and hope he's still available if/when you come back or forget about him alltogether. I don't think break-up is the only way, but to someone who doesn't want to do the long distance thing, it probably is.

there is a chance it could work out but it usually doesnt. But you should also think about the difference in age it not that much but you are going to be in college and high school and college are not the same so you might not be able to relate to each others experience. And since you are heading to college I think it would be wise to not hook up with this guy so you can enjoy and experience your college life. If you do hook up your feeling will grow and then it will be hard to say goodbye. Trust me in college you will meet many different people and have a whole new experience that you might not be able to enjoy if you are in a long distance relationship

just hang out with him now, date whatever, but in the end you are going to be going off to college and you wont be seeing him for long periods of time.

basically, you are going to want to have fun in college and not have to keep talking to some sophmore 400 miles away. there are going to be a ton of people in college that you can meet and greet and you will most likely find someone you like there.

not to mention, it is a highschool relationship, like 90% of them dont last more than a few months and being a soph. i doubt he is mature enough to handle a relationship.

It all depends on if you think you can handle a long distance relationship. If you like this guy, go for it. he could be the one. live your to the fullest. good luck. <3
