Could be kennel cough. Bring her to the vet for some meds, or at least a check-up.

Cough is a non-specific sign ... how old is your dog ? what breed ? has this been going off and on ? Does is hang out with other dogs ? when was the last time it was vaccinated ? When does the dog cough ? There is no way for anyone to give you any REAL idea as to what is going on since no one can see your dog right now - that's the reason why us vets never give diagnostics over the phone !!
Different reasons for coughing include infectious (like kennel cough or tracheitis for instance), foreign body (grass, foxtails, something stuck in the esophagus and pressing on the windpipe) but can also be a collapsing trachea (especially in small breed dogs or smooshed-face dogs like pugs and bulldogs) - another thing to keep in mind is heart failure.
So as you can see - there are many things to pick from. I guess what 'm saying is if you are worried and your dog is still acting up, don't assume it's alright - go see your vet - and maybe expect to be getting some Xrays taken. It's the first step to figuring out what's wrong.
Good luck !

This is probably kennal cough. It can be very bad, and
can result in the dogs death. It is highly contagious to other
dogs also. Your dog needs some medication from your vet
and it isn't expensive. Just some pills for a week or so.
Tell your vet before you bring the dog in that you think it is
kennel cough, so othe dogs at the vet won't be exposed to
your dog. Make sure you take him to the vet cause this
can be a huge problem if not treated.

Could be kennel cough. Has your dog been around other dogs lately? We adopted a Siberian Husky from our local animal shelter and took her to the vet for a check up. Since she had been around other dogs at the shelter, the vet told us to watch for kennel cough. Sure enough, a couple of days later, she started coughing alot. We took her back to the vet and she had kennel cough. They gave us medication to treat it with and she is fine now. Could also be an upper respiratory infection. At any rate, get her to a vet and get it checked out. The sooner you start treatment, the easier it will be to treat, whatever it is. Best of luck to you and your dog.

It might be nothing, it might be seasonal allergies. Or she might have worms or something else: Some kinds of worms will cause coughing. Let a vet check her over.
Good luck!
