If the dog you have now has been well socialized, she should be alright. She will probably get along better with a male dog, but please be sure to have one or both of them fixed. Females tend to be more aggressive to other females. There will be some jealousy maybe even a scuffle or two (do scold for overly aggressive behavior) but if you think you can handle two very demanding doggies go for it!

While it will take a few months for the Diva to get use to the Pomerainian, they most likely will not have any serious fights. I have a female Yorkie who is also rotton. We got a Pomerainian a few years after we got her, and at first she basically ignored her. As the Pomerainian grew though my Yorkie began to tolerate her
and they became good friends. Dogs usually enjoy having another of their own kind around. They are pack animals who don't like to be alone. Just do your best to treat them equally. Pomerainians are very sweet dogs and they make great companions. The choice is yours, but it is my beleif that God in his infinate wisdom gave us two hands, so we could pet two dogs at once. I have three dogs and if it weren't for a grumpy husband I would most likely have more. They are a lot of work, but they are also a great source of happiness. Best of luck.

Since your dog now has been getting all of everyone's attention I really don't think she is going to like to share the spot lite with any other dog. Pomerania's I think are yap-pie and nip pie little dogs and at times can get quite aggressive.
So I think your better off with a one dog house at least for now.

oooh Sociallization is key!! When you introduce them make sure that you are in a calm environment and you have to remain calm and in control as well- if you are nervous than that energy will be projected on to the dogs and they will behave as such. (thanks Cesar Millan). When you sociallize them it can help to lay one of them on their back, it is a submissive position, let the new dog sniff all around him, then reverse so they get good wiffs of eachother.
To help with the other dog- before you bring the new pup home, take the older dog out in off leash parks and sociallize her there, get her used to being submissive and meeting new dogs, practice helps, she wont be so nervous with the new family member.
When you feed them, do not give them one bowl, I use seperate bowls at first so they dont fight over the one plate of food. Make sure theres a LOT of water as well.
Cesar Millan practices a noise and two fingers tapping on the neck of the animal, it gets their attention without hurting them, letting them know you are the alpha.
NEVER throw one bone to two dogs- They will fight for sure. Always give each dog their own toy. If one of them wants to hog them you might have to call Cesar Millan or check out his website for more information.
Also make sure each of them have their own beds, until they are buddies.
It will take some time to get the diva used to not being boss. but correcting her behavior starts with the way you treat her now. Establish you are the alpha now, and she will better understand her place when you arrive with a new dog.
Dont let either of them sleep in the bed. By placing them in a kennel on the floor by the bed you are reinforcing who is the alpha of the pack- YOU, and by neither of them being the alpha there is less fighting.
Any dog has the potential to be any behavior you allow it to be so dont allow bad behaviors to exist. If they are predispositioned a certain behavior trait correct it from the begining and correct it throughout the lifetime. There are very few things that you cannot fix behavior wise. "Hungry Dogs" dont exist if you dont let them. Their behavior depends on your abillity to correct or not allow it.
DO NOT let them "FIGHT IT OUT" that is sooooo wrong. Dogs live in the moment so if you keep correcting it over time they will learn. That is such awful advice!!!
My last personal bit of advice Do not mix a small dog with a large dog, one will get hurt, by making sure they are the same size- they can play without hurting eachother on accident.

They very well could, but I would let it happen. The dogs will eventually work out their differences. They are simply doing what they would do in nature....finding their place in the pack.
