depends; the most surefire (and also the riskiest, because a lot of stuff can go wrong) way is to simply stroke his crotch. a lot of friends I know would love it if girls did this. however, the safer, more traditional ways are to casually talk with him, sit next to him in class, or flirt. i know a few girls who've just gone up to somone and said "I like you. Wanna go eat?" or something like that. Usually works, but takes a lot of nerve. see if he goes out of his way to talk with you, especially if he gets teased for doing so.

Ask a friend to tell him you might like him. Ask a friend of his if he has any current love interests? Smile, and flirt with him durring class maybe? Don't call him, but you can have him call you. Maybe have a friend give him your number? Good luck!

ask his closest friends if he's ever mentioned you to them before, that could give you a clue if he likes you or not.
you can show him you like him by smiling when hes looking over or you can just tell him when you think the time is right.
