I've been thinking about purchasing a professional flat iron and the Sedu one seems to be the best rated. Most reviewers stated how great they worked on course or very curly hair. However, I have very thin and slightly wavy hair. I don't want to damage my hair or make it more thin. Does anyone w/ the same hairtype as me have any input regarding these high-end flat irons?

Yes , you should by the SEDU.
You can adjust the heat setting so if you have thin hair, use the lowest setting, and if you have thick or coarse hair, use the highest setting.

well i'm buying one too and i definitly think that you should buy it. it's definitly worth your money. the sedu works on all types of hair thin or coarse so you should try it out and if you really don't like it then you can return it for your money back or if it breaks then you can return that within a year too. folica is a great website! if you haven't been on you should go on.

I too have thin striaght wavyish hair and honestly the professional ones dont really make a difference, I used my friends professional hair straightener and it did the same thing as my conair wet 2 straight one did. So dont waste your money on it

well if ur hair's already thin, i dont think its worth it to get an expensive straightener. my hair is thick and wavy, and those cheap ones dont work for me. i think a cheap one will work fine for you.

If you ask me, all you need is a cheapo (like $25) flat iron. I can't see why you would need a professional flat iron. My sisters have wavy hair and they use the cheap kind. But since your hair is thin, you should probably make sure you put a protectant/pomade over your hair before you apply intense heat.
