In the middle of a bet. I said that you eat the hen and thats all .. The cocks for one purpose breeding.. Can anyone help?

The majority of cockrel chicks are slaughtred as soon as they hatch only the minority are kept for breeding.
I think they go for pet food etc lots of reptile owners feed them to thier pets.
Hens go on to produce eggs & meat
Might be wrong.

Both as most are hens but they de-sex roosters and feed em a great grain diet. They are know as capons and are very expensive, so hard to find.

Echo has answered the question. Cockerels don't taste very nice so they are killed at as soon as they hatch and, obviously, they don't lay eggs.
