My mom has these 2 bumps on her arms for ten years. Recently they started hurting. She got referred to a dermatologist and is put on Top Priority. What are the chances of it being cancer?!

Really can't say at this point. Since they have been there for a while, I wouldn't immediately jump to the conclusion that it is cancer.

Being given priority is a precaution, not a diagnosis.

It is easily curable if it is basal cell carcinoma. Simple symptoms cannot be confirmed as cancer. It must be checked out with a doctor. If it is the initial stage of cancer then it can be easily cured. To know more about cancer just visit the link and get informations about cancer.

Chances are that if it is cancer, it is basal cell carcinoma, which is practically 100% curable by a simple office procedure. They just cut it out. I had one removed from my neck a few weeks ago, and it took about 10 minutes.

I am going to guess that they are fatty tumors and not cancer since they have been there so long. She is doing the right thing to go to the doctor because you can never be to careful.

you wont know till they do a biopsy does it run in her family
