She's only 9 weeks old. Don't worry about it. Make it fun and make it consistent. Put it on her in the house while supervised. Let her run around with it on so it's no big deal, not something to play with. Make it 2nd nature. When taking her on her trips to potty hold the leash loose, don't let it be tight when she is searching for the right place. She may not like having it on at first but nature will take it's course and she'll go with it on. Don't let her bite it or chew it when walking, correct her but don't be aggressive just remove it from her mouth and use whatever command you plan on using, no, no bite, etc.

Don't forget praise if very important at this stage, no anger, no hitting. Use treats or a favorite toy for going to the potty. Also create training is a great tool! Your puppy is very young. Your dog should be used to going potty on a leash after a week or so.

Of course there is hope. She's just a puppy! They want to play with EVERYTHING. Keep using the leash, but take her places that she can be distracted, such as Petsmart or Petco or a dog park. She'll lose interest in the leash and start to become accustomed to it. Persistence! Don't remove the leash for potty, just walk her longer and longer until she finally goes. She will.

This is natural. Your puppy will do this. But when he matures, he will learn to use it right. If you use it regually and stick the fustration out then your dog will get used to it and will see how much you want him to stop. Remember, puppies are very playful and will bite or chase anything. My cousin's dog used to not be able to go on the leash at all. But now that he is about a year, he is doing very well. I hope this helped!

I would suggest to give the dog a treat every time you try to go outside on the leash. You should reward her if she stays on the leash and goes to the bathroom. Also start early and don't give up!!!! Good Luck

My suggestion is to put the leash on her while you are in the house. Let her get used to it and walk around the house with it on. Watch her to make sure she doesn't get caught on something. Once she gets used to it inside, then it shouldn't be a problem outside.

First thing...don't worry! She's a puppy! My best advice is to take her to puppy school. Both my dog and I learned a ton at puppy school. Pet Smart has a good school at a good price. Enjoy her and have fun with her..they are only puppies once!

get a prong collar...and give her a pull when she tries to play with it...a prong collar is not abusive, it acts like a puppies mothers bite...that pup will start to get the point from the first tug that you mean business...just dont keep it on all the time..and as far as potty goes...well if need be..levae the dog out tied to a lead till it goes potty...remember this when it comes to a dog...and dont get me wrong i own two...YOUR THE BOSS...cause if your not, bad things happen to both parties.

keep her on the leash even if she doesnt like it. she'll get used to it sooner or later. if you see that it may hurt her try buying her a dog harnest or whatever they are called that are like collars but placed around the whole chest area

You need to displine her when she goes after the leash. If she does NOT stop then do not reward her but when she doesn't go after it then give her a LITTLE treat
