For two consenting adults, I think it is fine to have sex before getting married. Wether it is a 'good idea' is really up to the participants. If you're asking wether it's a good idea to give your future spouse a 'test run' too see if you're going to be satisfied in that area for a lifetime, then, I'd say, it's unreasonable to compare sex before marriage, to what sex will be like years later. As your relationship changes, your life changes, careers, kids, etc...it all effects your intimacy. But if you're asking, really, is it ok to have sex before getting married or engaged, then that's all up to you and whomever you're wanting to be with! Lol* If you feel it is morally wrong, then you'd want to think long and hard first, so as you don't compromise your beliefs and regret it later. These things do have a way of staying with you for years. If you are underage and are thinking about sex, well, I'd hate to say 'go for it' when I really just think it's a better idea to wait until you're old enough to fully understand the consequences. Even adults don't always realize what comes along with sex, and often get themselves into predicaments they could have prevented. :)

Because I am a Christian and want to do what God says is right, we didn't have sex before getting married. It was the hardest thing I ever did, but we've been married since 1964 and we're still learning and growing in our relationship. If you do decide to have sex, please both of you get checked to be sure you're not carriers of any STD. The best way not to have an unwanted pregnancy is no sex!

Yes. But it's all about personal preference, and when you're ready. Everyone is different. But how I see it, is I would hate to have sex for the first time on my wedding night, and suck at it. And have my partner to suck as well. Then possibly think sex sucks period. Sex is amazing and I'm glad I didn't wait. I think people should have more than one partner in their life time to though.

it isn't a GOOD idea. I can't say that i'd know though, since i've had sex out of wedlock. the problem is when things didn't work out, I still craved for my past partners. I think the best thing to do, is follow you're heart. Sex brings a lot of emotions to the table, are you prepared for that?

For people who want to and are ready then it could be a good idea. For those who would rather wait or who aren't ready, then it's a bad idea.

This kind of thing is completely subjective.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with it and so for me it's a great idea.

depends on your beliefs and if your relationship is strong enough to be engaged it is strong enough to move on. I do agree with the others if you dont test drive and it is all wrong then you wont have a great marriage. You must fit together and not everyone fits.

NO. Having sex before getting married or engaged is wrong - its a disgrace. Besides, what good does it do to you? Ask: is it better to be a disgrace and get married, or get married and live a happy life? Having sex before marriage does not benefit you, but my mother has only told me that it's a disgrace (she told me when we were watching a movie when a woman was pregnant before she was married).

That's a good question, and it depends on many intricacies such as intimacy issues and experience levels, not to mention the intellectual, psychological and perhaps even more importantly, the spiritual aspects of the act. Discuss all of this with your partner, and consider issues like virginity, love and maturity. Consider all options before you follow any path. Where will the path take you, and what will you either gain or lose due to your desires?

From the guy's point of view? That's all they're after. But you should know pretty well (if you're a girl, sorry can't tell, no pic.. although it appears your name is sarah) that it's wrong, and it will ruin you, your rep, and possibly your entire future.
