Let me ask you some words related to making foods

How different is each pair of words each other in the following?

1, skewer and kebab(kabob)
2. mince and grind
3. barbecue and grill
4. bake and toast
5. mix and blend

1. Kabob refers to the cooked dish done on a stick, whereas skewer refers to the stick itself, whether bamboo or metal.

2. Mince is a very small dice, small squares. Grind means putting thru a grinder, as in meat for sausage.

3. Grill means cooking over a grill, a series of wires hooked together. BBQ almost always means the addition of smoke, and long, slow cooking. Often the meat happens to sit on a gril while beign smoked or bbq'd.

4. Bake means in an oven where the surrounding air is a specified temp. Toast means essentially broil, or next to direct heat for a short period of time.

5. Mix and blend are essentially interchangeable. Depending upon the dish, you may use a spoon, rubber sptaula, or whisk for the task.

ok here goes and i may not be completly right lol
1 skewers are bigger used to turn on the spit of a grill,kebab is meat on a small stick.
2 mince is small diced grind is pulverized
3 bbq is in the sauce and grill is like flat iron like some people use for pancakes
4 bake is in the oven,toasted is in the toaster shorter time,quick exterior browning
5 mix is just tossed and turned,blended is more agressive like by a machine :)
