I was practically stomach-aching full and woke up starving with my insides feeling twisted for hunger and everything.
I don't think i have a fast metabolism because I'll eat normal during the day and it will last me for quite some time.
This only happens when I eat a lot that it goes really fast.

OMG sooo funny...
b/c me & my boss were just talking about this on Monday.
We said the same exact thing happened to us.
Neither he or I could come up with any reason that even remotely sounded plausible.
I have no idea, but the same thing happens to me everytime I eat late, so now I cut myself off at 10pm & go to bed around 12. I still eat a helluvalot of food, but don't wake up as hungry anymore.
Actually with eating until 10pm I can eat & eat & eat, and then when I wake up the next day & on my way to work, my cigarettes don't make me nauscious any more too.

...real healthy, right?

think of it this way--you eat breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the day. And if you ate a lot the night before, your stomach digests it all night. that all night of no eating is like eating breakfast and not eating anything else for a good solid few hours. You would be hungry. plus the stomach takes about 4 hours to digest meals (depending on person and how much/what they ate). that is why we eat (relatively) 3 meals a day. one meal every 4-6 hours.

hope that helps.

I have that happen to me as well. I'll eat before I go to my bed, (which I know is not a good thing...) and then I wake starving! I have no idea why that is. I would like to know too.

Only eat before 3 hours of your bed time. It is possible your stomach has grown bigger and need's more food to become active. Try eating less more often. Drink plenty of water too. (Drink after each meal)

because you probably ate to your stomach's capacity, but doing that stretched out your stomach. it isn't used to being so much bigger. and having a bigger stomach means you want more food to fill it. so if you don't want to be hungry all the time, try to eat in moderation.

This is because your body is working hard while you are asleep to digest that food. When you wake up, you are hungry from all the work.
