Just get on Internet and find breeders of chocolate labs for CA. I lived in North Carolina and that's how I found mine.Just make sure that the pup can be AKC registered and you'll know it isn't mixed..Well that and the price..lol

go to akc.org and get contact/website for labrador retriever club of america.. from there you can get listing of reputable breeders in your area... also,, check to see where there are dog shows in your area.. go to some and talk with the breeders/exhibitors of the labs there.. good luck be patient and do your homework,,it will be well worth the wait

Ask a local VET. Mine keeps a list of reputable breeders and clients selling pups.
