I Want to know what you think could happen when you pass away. Many answers are fine. Indirect, direct, I don't care. I'm just curious to know what others think on the matter. Please nothing to do with Heaven and Hell, we all know about those. I'm looking for any answer, dumb or not... Give me as many as you've got! Even if it isn't what you personally believe. Thanks!

After you die, there is nothing.

I do not fear death, in view of the fact that I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.

We Buddhists believe that the mind goes on and takes rebirth according to your karma and the state of your mind at death. We believe that you go through a state of mind called the "bardo" (in-between death and rebirth) that differs for each individual, but mostly agreed upon that it's similar (for those who are untrained in journeying the bardo) to the experiences you hear people talk about when they've been pronounced "dead" clinically and they come back to talk about it.

For more info if you're interested: Sogyal Rinpoche's book "The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying" is an excellent take on it and about how we perceive death and dying... also there are other books available through online bookstores like snowlionpub.com and wisdompubs.org or even in some of the major, big bookstores out there like Borders.

We are more in control of our afterlives than we think. If we are spiritual beings, we are more gods than we realize. According to our spiritual beliefs, so goes our afterlife. There is not just one place all who are good and one place for all who are evil. Reincarnation is a possibility for those who are so inclined. There are those who believe in nothing, or that we are just a part of Earth's energy, and become worm food in the end. For me, I want my afterlife to be every bit of a journey as life has been. I don't want anything cut and dried. I want to DISCOVER my afterlife, whatever that may be.

Ecclesiastes 9: 5 says the dead are consious of nothing at all

Ezekial 18:4 says that the soul that is sinning it will die ... now think of it everyone sins, there is no one on this earth that is perfect so that means everyone will die but this scripture includes the soul so when you die .. your soul dies also.

when we die we die,,your due date just expired
you will be burried or cremated
you will be worm food or fertiliser
but the actual death must be amazing
just think about that last actual breath
that last gasp of air to fill your lungs no feeling of sadness no feeling of hapiness
that will be the last orgasm you will feel
then you will stay in this box six feet under ground
that must be boring no light no air no yahoo
but how does it feel when maggots sucked the juice of your body
must be ticklish especially when they live in your bone marrow
i want to be burried not cremated
one day i will buy a coffine and live with
it to get the privilage of being dead
one day when my time comes i want it to be dramatic
i dont want any tears but cheers no flowers just a lot of beers
it is my day and i want it to be grand day me and the worms will meet eye to eye that day!!!!!!

If you sincerely commit your life to Jesus Christ you will experience eternity with God, experiencing peace, love and joy (you could call that heaven if you wish).

If you knowingly reject the gospel of Christ, you will experience eternity apart from God, experiencing the just consequences of your actions on earth.

I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ (e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/seek.html ).

Cordially,
John

Depends...Have you repented of sin ..and received Jesus as your Savior?

According to Scripture That will determine where you will spend eternity.

" I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life; no man can come to the Father except through me". -- Jesus Christ (Jn. 14:6)

" Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved". (Acts 4:12)

"... you shall die in your sins: for if you believe not that I am he (Messiah, Son of God) you shall die in your sins". - Jesus (Jn. 8:24)
