Based on google trends (see source), in the last two years,most people are searching for "wedding dress" in January. This may not correlate directly to purchases, but it is interesting.
Also, if you look at the trend for "planning a wedding", it peaks at around new years.

Based on what I know....... through all my vendors and cater... Oct and Nov weddings are the most popular right now... so IT'S INSANE AT DAVID'S BRIDAL THIS MONTH. I have never seen so many brides in my life this weekend.... we were getting bridemaids dress. But the bridal industry is booming so I pretty sure it's popular all year round. I think the middle of the summer is the dead zone just because people would rather be somewhere else then David's in nice weather.

Since most weddings take place in summer, and since it is suggested to buy your dress 6 months before, then Dec through Feb would be most popular :)

well since june is most popular for weddings I would say november - march.
