How can you make your hair smell better without washing it?

I know this is gross, but when i go traveling, i cant wash my hair in the airport. How can i make it smell better without dunking my head in the sink?

Unless you have dark hair, you can sprinkle baby powder in it and then brush it out. (if you're wearing dark clothing, be sure to cover it up so as not to get the powder all over you). I know that often times in hospitals or long term health care facilities, they use this trick to freshen up the hair by removing some of the oils and smell with the talcum powder. I think I remember years ago a product that was basically called a "dry shampoo" that worked in the same way. You might ask a stylist or check a beauty supply store. One last option that may sound weird but will work is to use the wipes for giving a dog a quickie bath without water. It's kinda like a large wetwipe and folks use it to get the doggy smell off their pet between baths. They sell them at any Petsmart or other pet store. They would be easy to pack with you while you travel too. Good luck!

I use this when I wash my hair-Nexxus Humectress. But you can also use it as a leave in conditioner. Just damp your hair with your hands and apply a small amount in your hands and rub through. It smells really good too! so no dunking heads here!. Good Luck.

Perfume.
Mouse, it has the airy smell of hair spray but not the hardness.
SOme drugstores sell a hair fragerencer in the area of shampoo and such. Its used to take the smell of smoke outa your hair. But in general it makes ur hair smell yummy.

This is called dry washing: All you have to do is put some baby powder In your hair and brush! It will still be greasy though so sorry :(

oh gosh, i HATE not washing my hair! i would at least try to get as much gunk out of it at the airport as i possibly could. after that i would spray something sweet smelling in my hair. my hairspray works for that because it smells like fresh tropical fruit and berries. its called bedhead masterpiece.

They have this stuff that you can buy at drug stores. Unfortunately, I can't remember what it is called, but it is a spray and you can use it in your hair and all over your body. It is actually meant for people that are disabled or otherwise unable to get in a bath or shower.

I believe there are hair products for a dry wash. Check with your drug store. People who are bed bound can't always have their hair washed daily.
Baking soda sprinkled on and combed out might work too.

brush a little corn starch through your hair, its like a temporary shampoo. Perfume or spray cologne will make it smell "better" but nothing will make it smell clean except soap (shampoo) and water.

shake your hair and spray purfume on it! Then brush your hair and it should smell nice (not to be replaced with a good 'ol fashion shampoo!

Works well to eliminate cigarette smoke too!
