No, agnostic is the lack of religion. I believe in no religion (some would say, "no faith")...therefore I'm agnostic.
There are however Gnostic Christians. The gnostic gospels imply a more relaxed version of Christianity...where Christianity has little to do with a church and carries a more buddhist philosophy of "Just roll with it"

No. Agnosticism is the lack of any religious belief, including a non-commitment to saying there is no god. It's greek a-gnosis. Without knowledge.
The word Gnosticism comes from the same linguistic root, but is an unrelated religious idea. Gnosticism is from the Greek, Gnosis - Knowledge. The knowledge being spoken of in that case is various mystical ideas common to Gnostic religions.

If two words differ by the letter "a", they don't have to be similar. Do you worship a goad? The word "gnostic" refers to knowledge. The Gnostics claim knowledge of the heavens. Agnostics deny knowledge of the existence of God.

both come from the same root word (from Greek gnosis, knowledge)
agnostic= a person who holds the view that any ultimate reality (as God) is unknown and probably unknowable
gnostic=the thought and practice especially of various cults of late pre-Christian and early Christian centuries distinguished by the conviction that matter is evil and that emancipation comes through gnosis

It definitely is not a religion.
It is more of a statement of being--to describe my beliefs.
gnostic comes from "gnosis" which means knowledge.
agnostic means without knowledge--specifically about the existence of a God.
I have no idea (and I know it cannot be proven) if there is some higher power.

Gnosis and Agnostic do not mix. Gnosis is "Knowing." While AGnostic means "confused." Or NOT knowing. (So it's not a religion.)

No. Agnosticism isn't a religion. It's a concept that the existence or non existence of a higher power is unknowable.

"Agnostics pick to have their cake and consume it. they pick the main suitable of the two worlds. they do no longer pick to establish to faith in case it particularly is no longer authentic, yet they do no longer pick to have not have been given any faith in case it is authentic.in case you question me, i could say maximum have self belief in God, yet won't say they suspect in Him thoroughly because of the fact they pick to have exciting in existence to boot. To me, it particularly is an exceedingly egocentric existence type." No, to me sinning than having a handy sin erase card is egocentric. Assuming any faith is stable and in basic terms the the main suitable option one is egocentric. Non non secular people could cope with their effects of their strikes. How the hell could you be attentive to in the event that they pick the cake too? i'm agnostic. I dont deny the opportunity of unquestionably no god everywhere yet in step with ideology, many of the "ordinary" guy-made ones are nonsensical. it particularly is riddled with contradictions and hypocrisy, and once you element them out, the followers use a protection of "mysterious techniques, you could no longer probable comprehend it" or in simple terms forget approximately relating to the fact and threaten divine punishment.
