It varies with each State / Province. In my state you must have a driver license with a "Farm Implement' endorsement to operate a farm tractor on the public highway.

yes you can we have been doing it for years. I've been doing it since about 9 years old here in so. Illinois. As long as you are a farmer or the family and using the machinery for farming at that time. No you can't take the tractor uptown for a drive. But yes you can be on the road.

It depends on your state laws, so I can't give you a 'fact' without knowing your own state's law.

Most rural states, out in the western US (Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, New Mexico, the Dakotas) all have provisions for young teenagers to drive farm implements for short distances on roads, so long as they stay under, say, 5 mph.

But check with your local state police to be sure.

you do not need a driver's license to drive a tractor anywhere, highway or other and there is basically no age limit to driving a tractor on the highway or other.

WELL WE DRIVE TRUCKS WITH FARM USE ONLY ON THEM BUT A DRIVER'S LICENSE IS STILL NECESSARY WHEN YOU DRIVE TO TOWN TO GET GAS AND SUPPLIES.
