I like this guy who is 3 years older then me and he lives in NC. i live in MI, but that is beside the point. my point is that early this year my dad told me that i could date whoever i wanted to but, they couldn't be a Sr. this guy i like well graduate last year. so what do i do?

3yrs, not bad...sorta long distance, not very good but oh'ell...parents not approving, who cares!!!
they might want what is best for you, but they don't now what it's like to live as you do, and neither do you until you try.

I think you should invite this guy to come to Michigan and meet your parents. You don't need to tell them his age. Just say that you want them to meet him. If they like him, it will probably go well for you both. But, a few words of caution. If you met him on the internet, understand that those relationships don't usually last. And also, you Dad is just concerned that you don't date someone who is too mature for you. Just some suggestions. Hope all goes well for you.

Hah! I know the feeling. My beau is in NY and I'm in Cali. Don't think my parents will approve either. One because he has long hair and two he's on the other side of the country. But they might not know the guy you like and thus can't be judging him until they meet and get to know him. So, don't really worry about it until then. Have fun!
